Hi Folk,
I've had a huge set back in dollmaking over the past while. I lost my enthusiasm for a bit due to a truly awful experience with corn fibre cushion and toy stuffing from an Australian company Inner Green PTY LTD ( innergreen.com.au ).
My experience is the filling shrinks, distorts and forms into rock-like lumps inside the doll. Heartbreaking really when so many hours and love go into creating a little dolly person. And worse, the sorrow for a child who becomes fond of the cute cuddly dolly made just for them who turns into an evil scary looking hard lumpy critter after a while because of the unsuitability of the fibre filling.
Surely, I cant be the only crafter in the entire world who has had this issue with Innergreen stuffing?? I'd love to hear what others have experienced with this stuffing.
My problems began in November 2011 when I began to get bad feedback about dolls I had made (and sent round the world!). It took a while longer to realise the exact nature of the problem. I thought at first the feedback was about dolls becoming soiled. It wasnt until I received a doll back from a customer that I was hit with the extreme nature of the problem. The doll was UGLY! It's face was shrunken, distorted and felt as if full of nasty grainy rocks.
I wondered what on earth the owner did to the doll, until I began to see more dolls. Then I realised there was a problem with the filling.
I started emailing the company but they just ignored my emails! Rude!
Finally, I threatened contacting Consumer Affairs and got a reply telling me the matter would be brought up at a meeting within the week and they would get back to me. That was November 3, and no response since! Let's hope Consumer Affairs gets a better respone.
Please contact me if you have had any of your handcrafts ruined because you used Innergreen filling. Do Not use this filling without rigorous pretesting!

Three Sweet Waldorf Dollies Seeking Forever Homes
Well, I feel like a stranger on my own blog. It's been such a long time since I visited. An ongoing illness, and one lost camera, put a spanner in the works! So had to sort that out, and it seems sorted for now.
Before that happened, I had dollies almost ready for their forever homes, but life said it wasn't to be. Along with everything else, the 'new' ballpoint needle I put in the machine to stitch up those dollies had a burr on it!!!! grrrr!!! so here and there along seams, the needle poked fine holes, not noticed until dollies were plumply stuffed.
All so cute, I wasn't quite ready to dump them...
instead... dollies, blonde;brunette;redhead became models for trying new clothing and accessories designs. Lots of fun was had drawing up new ideas, drafting patterns, sewing cute clothing, trying on, making adjustments, redrafting patterns, sewing up more!
Because each dolly is handmade they are all unique, and although made from the same pattern there can be differences in sizing - so these dollies were great help in making patterns that could be used over and over and fit, no matter what little differences between dolly babies! What good little models they've been. Now I have a new fun range of outfits, mostly vintage inspired and have been working on some new doll designs too.
The babies are now ready for their new life. Seams are mended with quality thread and careful hand-stitching, and after being such obliging little models, they've all had a lovely refreshing soak in eco wool wash and a sun dry!
Poor dolly babies are yet to know the touch of a child, and can hardly wait for their own little mummy to love and cuddle them!
Contact me by email at: goddessence_@hotmail.com
Each dolly will bring to their new home a wardrobe of clothes and accessories to make for great pretend play time. All items made for little age appropriate fingers to be easily able to change baby. Fabrics and Yarns are from my gifted and thrifted stash.
First buyer has first choice.
In some instances there is only a small remnant of a print/colour/fabric - left over from a long ago project. Just enough for a dolly outfit or if lucky a couple.
Dolls arrive at their new home with the following:
a soft and snugly handcrochet blankie to wrap baby in - 1st buyer chooses 1st, etc.
pretty cotton dress, and matching bloomers (not shown)
and a spare plain flannel nappy/diaper - baby needs more than one!
Below are pics of the fabric choices for the nighty and nappy/diaper set
hmm don't know why my camera has put a yellow wash on this pic? weird!
looks like it has done it to all my pics today...very strange!
yes, every pic has a yellow wash to it, but IS NOT like that in life
poor purple set looks very flat and washed out in pic, sorry!
First two dolls sold will bring their own little handmade dressed dolly with them, either. I've been making bunny patterns and for fun made up a little rag doll. The prototype bunny and little rag doll are extra gifts for the first 2 buyers.
Lil Bunny
Ruby Ragdoll
Both Lil Bunny and Ruby Ragdoll are wearing lace trimmed bloomers under a lace trimmed dress from pretty vintage fabric and lace. Ruby has pure kid mohair hair and both little dollies are filled with eco corn fibre filling.
deary me! so wish I could have given you luscious lovely clear pics but Im afraid my handcrafting skills are way better than my photography skills and our recent spate of continual dreary weather hasn't helped one bit - oh well I can only improve ;-)
have fun looking, and shopping.
Only these three dollies are offered at this extra special low price.
I will have others for sale coming soon for around AU$250.00 + postage.
Oh and please leave a comment if you will. Love to hear from you!

It's a bit chilly
hand-knit set of jacket, beanie, mary jane shoes. I have 6 sets available, 4 colours to choose from, variegated pink (2), variegated autumn, purple, and red (2). Extras made for such as perfecting pattern, timing, yarn quantities, etc.
always pretty in pink, I say!
poor purple set looks very flat and washed out in pic, sorry!
hmmm this colour is washed out in the pic, brighter and prettier in life!
Sunny Day Fun
how cute is this cute stretchy cotton swimmer?Sunny Day Fun
Play Time
vintage 40s-50s inspired romper suit, bolero, and bonnet - all so very cute! Ask me about the colour choices. I will post more pics on fb as I get them.
so sad this pic didn't turn out better. The set is adorable with colours bright and lovely and yet in this pic the colour looks a bit drab and washed out! The red is actually a lovely ruby red!! I'll see if I can replace this pic with a better one. As soon as the sun comes out, whenever that might be...gloom abounds here lately!
There are several vintage styled romper sets available in different colours/prints.
Everything is made by my own two hands. Just because I love it so.
OH, a special SURPRISE TREAT outfit for each dolly. Don't you just love a treat? I do!
To say thanks for giving these dollies a home, and for the enjoyment of your own little person I will include an extra surprise handmade outfit with each of the dolls.
