Hi Folk,
I've had a huge set back in dollmaking over the past while. I lost my enthusiasm for a bit due to a truly awful experience with corn fibre cushion and toy stuffing from an Australian company Inner Green PTY LTD ( innergreen.com.au ).

My experience is the filling shrinks, distorts and forms into rock-like lumps inside the doll. Heartbreaking really when so many hours and love go into creating a little dolly person. And worse, the sorrow for a child who becomes fond of the cute cuddly dolly made just for them who turns into an evil scary looking hard lumpy critter after a while because of the unsuitability of the fibre filling.

Surely, I cant be the only crafter in the entire world who has had this issue with Innergreen stuffing?? I'd love to hear what others have experienced with this stuffing.

My problems began in November 2011 when I began to get bad feedback about dolls I had made (and sent round the world!). It took a while longer to realise the exact nature of the problem. I thought at first the feedback was about dolls becoming soiled. It wasnt until I received a doll back from a customer that I was hit with the extreme nature of the problem. The doll was UGLY! It's face was shrunken, distorted and felt as if full of nasty grainy rocks.

I wondered what on earth the owner did to the doll, until I began to see more dolls. Then I realised there was a problem with the filling.

I started emailing the company but they just ignored my emails! Rude!
Finally, I threatened contacting Consumer Affairs and got a reply telling me the matter would be brought up at a meeting within the week and they would get back to me. That was November 3, and no response since! Let's hope Consumer Affairs gets a better respone.

Please contact me if you have had any of your handcrafts ruined because you used Innergreen filling. Do Not use this filling without rigorous pretesting!
